Workers’ Comp and Personal Injury
Conditions / Workers’ Comp and Personal Injury
When injured at work or due to another’s negligence, you have the right to file a claim and have your medical expenses paid for by your employer’s workers’ compensation benefits or by the negligent party.
At OMNE Chiropractic, we accept workers’ compensation and work with people involved in a personal injury suit. It’s our job to get your body balanced and healthy so you can get back to living your life, and we’ll do that as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Workers’ Compensation
It’s important that you know your rights; we suggest speaking to your HR department to learn how to go about filing a workers’ comp claim. Be sure you understand the terms of the package your company offers.
Before seeking chiropractic treatment, you’ll need to report the incident to your company and file any necessary documentation so your claim can be opened and you can start getting the medical attention you need.
Note that you may need to see a company doctor before you come to our Omaha chiropractic office. In most cases, workers’ compensation benefits will cover medical expenses and lost wages, and often there is an allowance for a set number of chiropractic visits.
Personal Injury
If you’ve been injured in an accident and are seeking compensation from another party, we will provide medical care to you and give you any supporting documentation for your case. We work with insurances and, with your approval, will offer our medical advice regarding your injury and treatment plan to those involved in your case.

Some of the most common workplace injuries we see include:
- Neck pain
- Low back pain or lumbar problems
- Back pain
- Hand and foot pain
- Loss of range of motion
- Headaches
- Post-surgical pain
- And more
Some common reasons for the pain experienced include:
- Herniated discs
- Carpal tunnel
- Sciatic nerve problems
- Cervical spine strains
- Muscle and joint overuse
Dr. Peters is well-versed at getting to the cause of your discomfort and mitigating the pain at the root. We focus on solutions without the need for drugs or surgery but respect when they may be necessary. Our goal is to get you back to work quickly and safely.
We understand the burden of being unable to perform your work duties and will provide strengthening exercises and stretches that will support your body’s performance on an on-going basis. Preventative measures such as this encourage overall well-being and garner a healthy lifestyle while preventing the pain from returning.
OMNE’s Chiropractic Services
Our chiropractic solutions are safe and effective, providing holistic care that works with the body, not against it.
Chiropractic adjustments
Many of our workers’ comp patients are experiencing back or neck pain. This can be due to a herniated disc, slip and fall accident, repetitive motion tasks, poor posture or ergonomics, and various workplace injuries. We will offer spinal manipulation through a controlled manual thrust to specific areas of the spine, allowing for safe, non-invasive treatment and aim to restore function and alleviate pain rapidly.
Instrument assisted soft tissue technique
Dr. Peters may use specifically created tools that improve tissue health more effectively than hands alone. Scar tissue and disorganized tissue can cause various problems, including pain, discomfort, and mobility loss, among others. Focusing on soft tissue health allows joints to function correctly. Many soft tissue ailments limiting recovery are missed by other providers, including physical therapists and traditional chiropractors.
Manual therapy
Manual therapy serves to relax the muscles that are being overused or have been harmed in an accident. Manual solutions vary; however, these techniques provide pain relief and are designed to restore motion and flexibility.
Kinesio Taping therapy (KT)
This therapy applies tape to the skin over injured areas of the body. It helps the muscles relax and heal as it promotes the movement of oxygen and blood flow within the body to the areas that need it most while supporting movement.
The McKenzie Method
One of the most common mechanical techniques; this method educates the patient on how to independently support and strengthen their body through movements. Dr. Peters will determine a step-wise program that fits into the patient’s lifestyle, with reachable goals. This process is intended to put the patient back in control while lessening the number of visits to our office and enhancing the quality of life.
Functional rehabilitation exercises and stretches
Stretches and exercises are vital to your recovery. We will ensure you perform your given routine correctly and give you the tools to maximize your recovery at home through safe, tried-and-true techniques. We provide in-office instruction and at-home videos for our patients to ensure proper form and get the best results.
Why Should I Go to a Chiropractor for a Workplace or Personal Injury?
If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort due to a work injury or personal injury, chiropractic care can help. Not only will it rid your body of its pain, but it seeks to find the cause of the pain, never masking it. We provide relief without the adverse side effects. Pain medication may cause dizziness, sleepiness, and fogginess, which are not welcome in most work environments.
Our techniques allow the body to heal and limit the need for medication so you can get back to work faster. We will put together a plan for you that supports your body now and in the future, as it gives you confidence and a healthier, more positive outlook on life.
Call us today to book an appointment, and let’s get you back to work.
